About David

David Pickles has called Brock Ridge, Pickering home for over 30 years. He and his wife Brenda raised their family right here in Ward 3 — the same streets, the same schools, the same community you call home.

First elected to council in 1997 and re-elected eight times, David brings a depth of experience that can't be manufactured. Before entering public life, he spent years in senior Ontario Government roles spanning planning, budgeting, and environmental protection — giving him the expertise to get real results at Pickering and Durham Region Council.

In 2013, David received the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal, and in 2022, the Platinum Jubilee Award — both in recognition of his outstanding service to the people of Pickering.

He isn't running because it's easy. He's running because Ward 3 still has work to do.
